New paper from Sawsan with Sebastian Barwich (TCD), Andrew Mitchell, and James Rice (both UCD) where we apply bias across our aligned peptide nanotube/metal nanoparticle templates for enhanced sensing and photocatalysis and use a reduced quantum mechanical model to understand the charge transfer process.
Journal Article: Nucleobase sensing using highly-sensitive surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy templates comprising organic semiconductor peptide nanotubes and metal nanoparticles
New paper from Sawsan in collaboration with James Rice was recently published in Sensing and Bio-Sensing Research. We used our process for making aligned peptide nanotube and metal nanoparticle templates to detect adenine, cytosine, thymine, uracil, and guanine at nanomolar concentrations.
New paper in collaboration with Wenxin Wang's group
Qian Xu's paper, Bacterial‐Resistant Single Chain Cyclized/Knotted Polymer Coatings, was recently published in Angewandte Chemie International Edition. There's always exciting work coming out of Prof. Wang's group!
Dr. Jason Kilpatrick in Zurich for an invited talk
Jason presented at Zurich Instrument’s 3rd SPM User Meeting hosted by Prof. Christian Degen at ETH Zurich. The activities are covered very nicely in Romain Stomp’s blog.
